Only 44 percent satisfied with sex life

Only 44 percent of those surveyed said that they're satisfied with their sex life, according to a British condom maker that conducted the worldwide survey. Are you part of the 44%?

The Durex Sexual Wellbeing Survey asked 26,000 people worldwide in-depth questions about aspects of their health, well-being, social circumstances, education, beliefs, sex lives and attitudes to sex, the company said Monday in a news release.

While 60 percent of those surveyed said sex is an enjoyable, vital part of life, only 44 percent said they were fully satisfied with that aspect of their lives. The survey found that frequency of sex and sexual satisfaction peaks between the ages of 20 and 34 but people over the age of 65 are still having sex more than once a week.

Eighty-two percent of people who are sexually satisfied said they feel respected by their partner during sex, 36 percent would like more quality time alone with their partner, 31 percent would like more fun and better communication and intimacy with their partner, and 29 percent would like a higher sex drive.

ONLY 42 percent of Chinese who took part in an international survey said they were satisfied with their sex life, according to annual research released by condom maker Durex on Tuesday (Apr 17).

The 10th such survey about sexual attitudes and behavior covered more than 26,000 people from 26 countries, the Information Times reported yesterday. There was no information about the total number of Chinese taking part in the survey.

The research revealed that Chinese men were more satisfied with their sex lives than women - 46 percent of men said they were happy but only 35 percent of women agreed.

The survey also found that the frequency of sex for Chinese people was about 122 times a year, higher than the global average of 103, the report said.

Greece is the most sexually active country in the world reporting sex on an average of 138 times a year. Japan is the least active with an average of 48 times, the report said.

The duration of sex among the surveyed Chinese was 20 minutes, two minutes longer than global average.

However, only about 24 percent of the surveyed Chinese said they usually reached orgasm when having sex, only half the global average of 48 percent, the report said.

Sixty percent of the Chinese in the survey said that they were longing for more love and care and 44 percent hoped to spend more time with their partners alone.
